[pct-l] Golden Opportunity

I think it silly to compare the Breeze to the Cloud @ $500 on the used
market. They are completely different. The Breeze retailed for $69, and
there are a number of reasonable alternatives for it such as the Fanatic
Fringe Alpine. I suppose there might be some crazy collects who will pay
$500 for a breeze, but I expect this is unlikely.

My memory is that the Kelty Cloud retailed for between $400-600 depend on
which model. It was a modular backpack aimed at climbers. The $150 Red
Cloud is modelled on the original (white) Cloud. So why $500? Well, the
Cloud was made from 100% spectra, extra heavy duty stitching with a higher
quality control. At that time the only companies I know who made 100%
spectra packs beside the Cloud was McHale Packs, WildThings, and a bit later
the value priced Mintril Pack. Why use Spectra? If you wanted an absolutely
bombproof, abrassive resistant, light weight pack, it was the only choose.
But 100% spectra is expensive. Today, with the need for combat armor, it's
almost impossible to find 100% spectra packs, which could easily justify
this pack retaining it's value since it is close to impossible to purchase a
new modular backpack which will be as durable as the Cloud.
