[pct-l] Question for fundraisers

Yogi, I agree. Just as you do, I value virtually everything in reference to the good fund raising can do. I have just volunteered for a position with the PCT Association and in a way it is "fund raising", i.e., hopefully getting more members.  And yet, something rubs me the wrong way about associating hiking the PCT and money. Maybe its about purity...I, like you, would only want hikers on the trail for the pure joy of the out-of-doors, hiking and what that alone does for your soul, with nothing having to do with raising funds.
