Far out Jeff...now you're talking my (the real PCT) language. If you follow through on what you say, you should be this List's idol, as far as I'm concerned.  This list SHOULD be far more than talk about weight; water treatment; stoves; misc. gear, etc.  WithOUT people giving back to the trail, we'd have no list for the PCT would not exist in places. And, where it did exist we'd be stepping/crawling over more downed trees, poison oak, scrubs and broken signage than imaginable.  The trail NEEDS constant maintenance. 

It is a wonderful world out there, problems and all, enjoy it and keep giving. I also still believe in (the spirit of) Santa Clause. Merry, Merry to all and to all a good night.
