The only things I know about Alaska are from Northern Exposure ... which
was filmed in Washington anyway. In other words, I don't know squat and
have nothing personally invested in Alaska or the ANWR, and yet I'm
thrilled to see the senate block drilling.

Maybe it's an affirmation that there are actually a few American
politicians out to do the right thing, or maybe I just get a warm feeling
seeing the Bush administration thwarted.

Anyway, it's good news and hopefully will set a precedent.
