On the entire PCT, I wore long pants 1 day.  A rainy day out of White  Pass.  
Didn't even carry long pants till I got to Cascade Locks, where I  changed 
out to a REI brand with zip off legs. They worked fine.  But,  I did wear a 
light, nylon long sleeve shirt the entire time... more to keep the  sun off than 
anything else. Campmor cheapie worked great.
