I think y'all are worried too much about trail markings disturbing your 
wilderness experience and not enough about protection, encroachment, dirt bikes, 
mountain bikes and commercial horse packers. 

We're basically talking junctions here, once you pass them, they're  gone.  
Deciding which folk in the road to take is hardly a navigational skill.  More 
like reading comprehension.
