[pct-l] Cottonwood Pass to Kearsarge Pass Segment Hike

Hello to All the List!

I am planning a segment hike from Cottonwood Pass to Kearsarge Pass Trail October 9th thru October 12th or there abouts.

I am doing Mt Whitney as a Day hike from Whitney portal on the 7th.

Are any listers planning a similar hike? 

Any equipment recommendations, warnings, gotcha's, gotta see's, trip reports etc. the list would care to impart?

My main concern is a suprise early season snow/rain storm, conditions over Forester Pass is #2.
