Thanks for the info on Mars being close in October.  I guess I will  mount a 
big expedition to Mt. Whitney in October after the ALDHA  Gathering.  That 
works for my schedule.
 
I will campout over night on top.  There should be no Rangers  around then on 
the trail to bother me.  Of course, I will take a full  oxygen bottle with 
me.  May be I should take a bottle of wine too.
