[pct-l] 1974 pct controversy article - san diego backcountry paper

hi all-

at a garage sale today i bought a copy of the winnett pct guidebook from 
1973 (interesting to look at the maps in that one!) that had a newspaper 
clipping tucked inside. it's an article from a small local paper called 
"the mountaineer" about a part of the trail near buckman springs that 
was in dispute at the time (the lester hook property in cottonwood 
valley). it's a decent-size article with pics, and has some interesting 
points-of-view about what sort of impact the hikers would have on the 
area (the locals seemed to think that hikers would mostly be interested 
in polluting their water and harrassing their cattle!), so i thought 
maybe someone on the list would be interested in it? if so, let me know 
and i'll scan it for ya...
