[pct-l] Mt. Hood PCT update

I took a short hike from Mt. Hood Timberline Lodge on the PCT north on Paradise Park loop yesterday. Lowest snow I have seen in years - looks like the middle to end of June. Some consolidated, soft snow patches (my runners were soaked), but little problem finding the trail. Paradise Park section was quite open and snow free (highly recommened rather than the PCT itself - adds about 1 mile or 2 and some elevation, but you get fabulous views); PCT below it still had some snow. Many large trees down on the trail right now (impassible for horses). Don't know what the Sandy River was like, but Zig Zag was a quick, dry bolder hop across. Trail register now up (wasn't in the morning; but, was when I got back). Think some folks were out for a hike around the mountain; they probably will have snow on the north side.

Based on this, I expect that there will be very little snow between Cascade Locks and Ollalie Lake right now.
