spam: [pct-l] What I've learned about DEET - maybe it's not sohealthy to be around"

Nile and Rocky Mountain, etc. Compare how many people have died or had long
term impairment from mosquitoes or tick born diseases as apposed to those
from DEET. Not a lot of competition there.>>

Not to mention Lyme disease, which can result from ONE tick bite and have
lifelong effects (peripheral neuropathy, heart problems, etc....my
stepfather got it at least 15 years ago, was treated with antibiotic therapy
but suffers the long-term effects).

I have a love/hate relationship with DEET, but a pure hate relationship with
ticks and mosquitoes.

Incidentally, this forum's had lots of this topic discussed in years past
(sorta like bear cans) and I probably shouldn't perpetuate it :)
