[pct-l] Aurora - was 'GPS'

I was at Joshua Tree NP this weekend, and I saw the aurora
it made Saturday nite. PCT'ers up and down the Trail, with
a view to the north, could have seen it after midnight had
they been up taking a pee like I was.
Then when I got home I found the attached alert in my inbox.
Check out the awesome pic the guy took of it from
Anza-Borrego - beautiful cinnamon color.

Space Weather News for May 14, 2005
	http://spaceweather.com

A coronal mass ejection (CME) is heading for Earth
following a strong solar flare on May 13th. Sky watchers
should be alert for auroras when the cloud arrives on May
14th or 15th. The display, if it materializes, will be best
over high latitudes--e.g., Alaska and Canada. But CMEs
sometimes spark auroras over lower latitudes, too, so
everyone should keep an eye on the sky this weekend.
