[pct-l] "Sustainable" Food Drops

Justin,

I concur with the posts that emphasize that the PCT is largely outside of
any, at least legal, "farm" country. It does go through some grazing
land....hmmmn....but that's probably not the kind of hunter-gatherer
sustainability you had in mind.

Just wondering - what part of the planet are you from? Your "sustainable"
question makes me wonder if you have any idea whatsoever about the nature
(pun intended) of the PCT.

Ok so in an effort not to re-invent the wheel:

Does anyone know of any work done in the past to create a network of food
drops from local Co-Ops and farmers along the PCT, so as to reduce
associated transport requirements of food, and support local economies?
