[pct-l] backpack question

I use the internal frame ULA P1 with an extra top pocket and hip belt
pockets. I don't use all of the volume. Side mesh pockets have the water
bottles; hip pockets some day snacks and camera; top pocket extras -
probably only use 1/4 of the volume with day supplies that normally would be
in the main pack. Front mesh pockets are full - tent, rain gear, TP, etc.
Main compartment is 3350 cu if maxed out (never done that); front mesh is
450. I figure I probably use about 3000-3200 cu in.

You need some way to carry a bear canister for part of the trip; but I
wouldn't size for that.

Packs ride differently as the weight changes. You need a way to compress the
pack as it empties.
