All the responses you've gotten seem to have been straight from the book of choosing an ice axe length. That is what you should do if you go to a store to buy your axe. However, if you're trying to buy the axe via the web or by mail, you're stuck. A 70 or 75 cm axe should be just fine. I think my Camp is 70 cm and is a little short for my taste, but it was the longest that they make. I'm 6'4".
