Hi,

Although I love hiking, I agree with one of the former posters that
sometimes you have to think of other things as well. Are you going to dream
about your hike in the summer during all the off-seasons of your life?
Doesn't that seem a waste as well?

That being said I am in the extremely luxurious position of being able to
take off for about six weeks this summer. We'll try and walk from the
Atlantic to the Mediterranean through the Pyrenees switching back and forth
from France to Spain and back again. The real luxury is working only
parttime, as does my partner, and still be able to do this. Having the time
to enjoy life, even when we are not hiking a long trail.

I just reread the guidebook and studied the maps again for this summer's
hike. Hours of joy...
