[pct-l] Crocs/Waldies

They did appear out of the blue for hiking...or so it
seems.

I do know that Crocs are based Niwot, CO (a town next
to Boulder). They are actually popular here for
everyday use
Personally, I think they are UGLY for everyday use.
Won a pair in a post-race raffle this past Fall. They
are still sitting in my closet collecting dust. :)

The Crocs/Waldies look to be based on medical clogs
that are very similar in design.

About 10 yrs ago used to work as an orderly in a
surgical unit of a hospital. I remember Waldies-type
shoes being worn by surgeons and nurses in the OR.
Good foot support, breathable and light.

How they went from medical use to hiking/boating use
to everyday fashion, I have no idea!
