[pct-l] car rentals: Big Bear, S Lake Tahoe, Cascade Locks?

Has anyone had any experience renting a car in these 3 spots?  

Big Bear and South Lake Tahoe seem to have several options, but 
the most intriguing (and convenient) seems to be in Cascade Locks, 
if anyone needs a car there.  The owner of the Avis rental in Portland 
lives in Cascade Locks and will deliver a car to a local business 
for hiker pick-up and usage, at no extra charge.
