[pct-l] High Sierra entry date

I have been watching a couple of different snow reports,
including the new wounderful PCT Post Holer Daily...

It looks to me that a mid June entry would be Ideal, at
least for the moment. Crabtree Meadows is about 110%? A May
15 entry date, is rather Early. Got Snow Shoes?

As for me, I am leaning to June 15th ish. as an entry date
from Kennedy Meadows.

I'm in the planning stages of my first thru-hike. I read
here earlier that
someone was starting their John Muir Trail hike on May
15th. This seems very
optimistic to me with this year's snow levels. I was
thinking of getting to
the High Sierras by mid to late June.


Any thoughts would be helpful.
