I remember a real steep pitch approaching Mt. Lincoln a couple miles S of
Donner Pass. Wasn't very long, but it was a huffer.

the approach to apache peak has got to be one of the steepest sections of
trail on the entire PCT.....

man it's steep, rather challenging even with a day pack.

definitely an exception to the stock grade rule.

are there any steeper ?

and there's one b in fobes hahahaha fobes fobes !!
