I just spoke with Don Middleton in Whitewater, CA, former owner of the Pink
Motel.  After some deliberation, he and his wife, Helen, have decided that
they can no longer accept and hold food packages for hikers anymore.  When I
talked to Helen Middleton a month ago and learned of the sale of the Pink
Motel, she indicated they would take a little time to decide about hiker
packages.  That decision has now been made and Don's suggestion is to send
the packages c/o yourself to the Cabezon P.O. about 4 miles away.  The
Middletons plan on attending the Kick-off in April, but are anxious that
word spread so that hikers do not send any packages to them.
