[pct-l] Cold weather clothes

Have you purchased your soft shell jacket yet? If not, I recommend
the Marmot DriClime Windshirt. It's extremely warm, dries fast, packs
small.

The combination you have listed here sounds good if you're one of
those normal people who don't get cold easily. I do get cold easily,
so I also carry a down jacket.

Seriously, check out the Windshirt.

I've got a minor question to ask.
Being from southern Arizona, I've not really had much exposure to
extended cold weather backpacking. What would be a good combination
for the colder parts of the trail? I was thinking of wearing a base
layer, long sleeve, a soft shell jacket and have a rain jacket that
packs small for a third layer. Will this be enough? What are some
examples of cold weather clothing that you'll be carrying on the
trail?

Thanks for any input and hope to see you at the kick off.
