IMO, there is a difference between HYOH on the one side and being rude 
or inconsiderate on the other.

Social norms do change, but that doesn't mean that one must either 
accept the change and/or not advocate for one's own standard.


As to "tolerance", this is a double edged sword. Why should I be 
"tolerant" of someone else who is "intolerant" of me?
