Jackie,

We had a wonderful visit with Savant, and truly enjoyed his company.  You're right about the beef thing -- we had steaks on Monday night, and he ordered steak at the Mexican restaurant in town again last night!  

He told us about your book, "An Egg on Three Sticks" --- congratulations on getting published on your first book -- that's quite an accomplishment, and  no small undertaking as you already know. 

He headed out into a beautiful morning -- looks to be a very nice day, and he should make some good miles.  

Hoping that our paths will cross one day . . .

hi this is from Savant's wife - Savant (Eric) is still on the trail and will
be at Saufley's tomorrow (god willing and the creek....).  does anyone know
how many other SOBO's made it this year?  i hear Scott Williamson is almost
done (altho i know he's doing the yoyo thing, not just the SOBO thing).
