[pct-l] boots, OK,,



I think the Sherpas will agree with you. But, for most folks hiking the PCT 
or other long trails, their feet are not up to the task of carrying 70 
pounds in sandals or even running shoes without a lot a training. And who 
wants to carry that much anyway. Sheer torture.
