[pct-l] California Fire Permits

A campfire permit is required in the National Forest in California if you 
will be camping outside of a designated campground (even to use a backpacking 
stove).  If you are in a wilderness area, your wilderness permit is accepted for 
your campfire permit, however some wilderness areas which do not require 
wilderness permits will require a campfire permit.  They are free and issued by any 
Forest Service location and are good until December 31st of each year.  If 
you request a campfire permit in the Angeles National Forest, however, they will 
only issue you the permit for 30 days from the date of issuance, so I 
suggested you not get a campfire permit from there.  I just got another campfire 
permit last month and the Forest Service went over the above with me and referred
