AMEN! After mine clogged for the umpteenth time one trip, I finally got
exasperated, stood up, took a big sigh and KICKED it halfway across a meadow and
asked another person if I could borrow a REAL stove. Good thing I wasn't
wearing running shoes!(I know, I know, anger management classes might help). I know
some people love their whisperlites. If you can get them to work all the time
you are a better mechanic than I am. Bad karma on my part? Or bad gas? (no,
not THAT kind)
I've seen many a good whisperlite go bad and bite their owner, usually when
they were overprimed and the fireball engulfed - and melted - the pump,
sending everyone cowering behind a tree waiting for the impending fuel tank explosion
