In a word, yes. But it depends on your definition of "nasty."
My definition includes a bovine ribcage sticking out of the spring in Kelso
Valley....downstream of where we collected water before filtering and
chemically treating it.
ewwww...
Now there's a trail angel supplying water in that stretch. However, the
spring still exists, nettle-choked and begging for restoration. It's
off-trail, but an exercise in preparation for the waterless 27-mile stretch
to McGiver Cabin & springs before Walker Pass.
