[pct-l] Re: JMT Record?



Hey, everybody-

Just wait until they invent transporters, a la Star Trek. Then we can get
from Campo to Manning instantly, without all those meddlesome lifelong
experiences in between.

So, for those who care, it look like the reported records for the John Muir
Trail are:

Unsupported backpack: Reinhold Metzger 5 days, 10 hours (130 hours)
Supported run: Peter Bakwin 3 days, 22 hours, 4 minutes (94:04)

And I'm very impressed by Brian's supported run of 103:02 as well.

Yes, it is very possible that someone has done it faster and not reported
it. I don't care. I was just wondering if the local newspaper was correct.
