I should have included this information along with the stuff MargeP requested for "underground" weather info. The following website provides stream/river flow information : http://waterdata.usgs.gov/wa/nwis/rt . The USGS provides this info for most states so "click" on the state of interest and then select the river closest to your area of interest...
