[pct-l] Shoes on PCT

 Nearly all thru-hikers use some type of running/low cut shoe these days. The 
PCT is a decent trail even in the rougher areas  and few hikers use hiking 
boots. New Balance has a " Cult" following these days for good reason. Usually 
two pair are needed for a thru-hike. ( But even heavy boots of the 70's needed 
to be resoled once)
