[pct-l] Down compression

Why, Martha, what a surprise! And here I thought you were a city girl! But
can the geese carry their own food? And do you have to worry about mountain
lions or other large predators? Perhaps you put them in a bear canister at
night? ;-)

TIC,

Christine "Ceanothus" Kudija

| I prefer to tend a flock of specially bred Norweigian geese as I backpack.
| They're a little squirrelly, and other backpackers complain about the
noise,
| but there's nothing like some fresh down when your bag starts feelin' a
| little thin.

|
| In 1972, when 20, I washed my down bag in the bathtub, and ended up
soaking
| the down. I did my best to get rid of water before putting it in the
dryer.
| Every baffle ripped out.
