Good description, Mike.
Three of us will be in that section on the weekend of June 20; do you know
if water can still be had at Forbes Ranch (about 14 miles from Hwy 74, or
is it now completely off-limits?  Also, you saw no trail angel water in the
entire section?  Finally, you mention Apache Springs at 22 miles, but I
calculate it at 16.8.  I'll appreciate your response (or from others) and
thanks for the journal info.
