[pct-l] Section G questions

if i start at Walker Pass and exit over Whitney, i
assume i will need a permit of some kind, but i'm not
sure from which agency/agencies.  can someone
illuminate me?

i'll be starting July 6th and hope to do it in 7 days.
 is there anything i need to be aware of along the
way?  i'll have the current edition of the guidebook,
but just wonder if there are any tidbits of info that
i might need.  

aaaand - am i looking at hot, hot, hot until i get
into the Sierra?
