[pct-l] Section D Cajon Pass to Agua Dulce

I hike Section D from May 15-22 south to north.
>
> Water Cache at Bike Springs, fully stocked, thanks. Should last another
week
> or two. Check PCT-L for end date.
>
> Small Cache on top of Lytle Creek Ridge, 5000', don't count on it, but it
> was nice.
>
> Guffy Campground, piped spring running well, look for small building.
>
> Grassy Hollow, water on.
>
> Lamel Spring, running well.
>
> Baden Powell, lots of snow from 8000' up and then even worse along north
> side of Burnham.
>
> Lilly Spring, did not check.
>
> Little Jimmy Spring running well
>
> Rattlesnake Spring and Little Rock Creek, running well.
>
> Cooper Canyon- Guidebook says trail goes up a jeep road, although much
is
> on newer tread. Editor should look into this.
>
> Camp Glenwood- water on at spigot.
>
> Three Points- watch intersection where Silver Moccasin leaves off. Signs
> are confusing and many hikers stayed on Silver Moc trail
>
> Sulphur Springs- good water.
>
> Springs on side of Pacifico, borderline, don't count on them.
>
> Mill Creek, water at Ranger Station, not at picnic area.
>
> Big Buck Trail Camp, water flowing well still. A nice surprise since the
> guidebook says that it only flows through early spring. This should last
a
> few more weeks.
> There is a new trail camp about 1 mile before this called, Little Buck? I
> can't remember. Don't get them confused. No water at this that I could
> tell and a needless decent. Editor should check this out too.
>
> Messenger Flats- no water, line was cut during some construction. Should
be
> fixed soon, so haul from Mill Creek and don't count on Big Buck Trail
Camp.
>
> North Fork, great hose and nice flat spot to camp beside picnic area.
Todd
> is a pleasure.
>
> Mattox Canyon- borderline, don't count on it.
>
> Santa Clara River, flowing but questionable quality. Walk to RV park and
> get water or soda!
>
> Vasquez Rocks Picnic Area, water at spigot.
>
> Agua Dulce, Saufleys in full swing.
>
> The blow downs were minimal across the section, the bloom was fantastic.
>
> Enjoy,
