I have used Yak Trax on the AT in May and they continually slid off to the side and I was constantly adjusting them. I work at an outfitter and many have been returned broken from continuous use. As Lonetrail said they're good to get from the house to the car or out walking the dog but don't rely on them in a dangerous situation that you might encounter on the PCT. MadMike
