[pct-l] Rain Gear Reccomendations???
Christopher,
I am sorry, but I disagree with your assessment of Frogg Toggs. They are
waterproof, windproof and breathable. I do not know about the Anorak, it
may fit more like a poncho, huh? But the suit is great. I have been in
heavy wet snow (skate skiing) for several hours skiing eleven miles, it
built up on my shoulders and on my front, but I was never wet underneath. I
originally stood in the shower for 20 minutes and I was not wet under the
suit. I have worn it day hiking in the rain and sat on a big rock eating my
lunch in a downpour, in the Seattle area and my two sons went under a tree.
I have never been wet.
Cheers,
Marge

The Frogg Toggs anorak that I have is at least as waterproof as goretex,
breathes a bit better, and weighs in the neighborhood of 8 oz. Fit is
terrible, but I don't have to use it too often. It is not waterproof
(neither is goretex) , but does a good job nonetheless.
