[pct-l] shoes

It seems that everytime I find a shoe that i love, it gets
discontinued...first the Nike Air mada...now the Salomon raid race...

I just purchased a pair of the XA pros...and they seem a little narrower
than the Raids...hopefully, that won't be a problem..I've been out on some
local hikes with them and so far..so good...definitely light and airy...I'll
probably wear them for the Campo to KM sections..

But, I have heard that Salomon is producing a raid race 2 shoe
now...Hopefullly, i can get my hands on a pair.

I tried the NB 805s last summer on the JMT...they did not perform well over
the broken granite rocks that makes up good portions of the trail. They
seemed to have a lot of lateral shift and i was almost walking on the sides
of them by trails end. The 804s were better...
