[pct-l] Why Do I Like Hiking

We all enjoy different activities because we're all unique as individuals.
My wife likes to spend her weekends in her garden. I hate gardening. I
like to spend my weekends hiking and backpacking. She thinks I'm some kind
of demented individual. We usually tend to migrate towards other
individuals that have the same interests as we have. Nothing feels more
gratifying to me than to hike in the wilderness and see things that I've
never seen before, because I would never see them if I didn't hike. When I
get home from a long day hike and all I want to do is take a hot shower and
get some rest, to me, that's a day well spent. That's just me and who I am.

On the contrary, one of my favorite times to hike is in the evening after
dinner. The wonder of it all and sense of adventure and forward progress
comes back in droves after a good meal. sitting around, sauce or no sauce,
is boring, if you've got the opportunity to crr-ui-ze !!!!

on golf, one of the main reasons folks get addicted
to golfing is that it is played in hyper-real "natural" surroundings, one of
the main elements of the hike which strikes the hikers, as well. So, you
can see, both sports are closely related.
