Amazon is taking pre-orders right now at a good discount for the pub by the
end of December. I emailed Amazon and they confirmed that delivery (to them)
is expected before the end of the year -- they are holding the publisher to it
(according to them). Don't know if it's true or not, but thought it worth the
risk. I added them to a bunch of other stuff I was buying and got free
shipping out of it -- they have a promo right now. There is always a risk that
it may not come in time, but you can always harrass Amazon by asking them
where your books are to pass the time while you wait (constructive frustration
release). It may encourage Amazon to stay on the publisher to meet the
delivery date.
