I have to throw in my agreement on this. I have heard tons of horror stories
about rangers, but this tale and my own great experience at the Bishop, CA
ranger station this past July restores my faith in those folks.  Not only doing
their jobs, but doing it in a thoughful and helpful manner.

One OT here. The Park Rangers in Philly (Liberty Hall etc...) said that they
were short staffed since they had to send all extra personnel west to fight
fires. Interesting.
