My God! The confluence of Ray Jardine and Jack Stephenson mantra. Bret, I am
humbled.

>>Now Ron states that he has trained himself to speep naked in 55 degree
weather. What that means is that he needs to use the bag rarely.
Interestingly, I see the main benefit of a tent over a tarp is that one
needs to use the bag less when one has a tent. Bottom line is that I see
Ron's experience and capabilities as atypical.<<

That's it! The ultimate solution to this absurdly cyclical debate over
tarps/tents and down/synthetic bags! Since the epidermis is absolutely
waterproof, highly breathable, cannot lose loft, and is capable of
regulating its temperature by way of extremely advanced internal technology
that senses even the tiniest variance in external stimuli - it therefore
follows that we must all learn to sleep out in the open, buck naked in 35
degree rain. Hey, God gave me a brain. He also gave them to the squirrels, I
think. And they sleep naked in the rain all the time. What's my problem?

(Cheers, Ron! :)
