[pct-l] gear questions



Speaking of replacement poles, i just received my new carbon fiber poles
from Fibraplex. The Easton carbon/aluminum poles that came with my Sierra
designs Ultralite CD were damaged during my last section hike..They are
light, but very fragile...and expensive. OTOH, the replacements from
fibraplex are even lighter and appear to be much more rugged...and they only
cost $85.00 for the set (I think the Eastons were twice that). The
construction quality of these poles looks really good...cannot wait to try
them out...
