If you would like to know when the sun and moon will rise and set and
when civil twilight begins and ends (a good time to start and end your 
daily hiking)
you could get the unadulterated correct data from the US Naval Observatory
where I used to work, or you could go to

to get my version for points
near the southern end, midpoint, and northern end of the PCT, translated
into Pacific Daylight Time so you can communicate with the unnatural world
on its schedule during the PDT season April 7 - October 26.    
Oddly, that's pretty close to the PCT season.
I hope I didn't make too many typos.

This is all only for planning purposes.   Hopefully you'll know when the
sun is up and down when you're out on the trail.
