[pct-l] Bears and cars

Occurs to me, since the rangers at trailheads with big bear problems carry
plastic sheeting and duct tape to repair ripped out windows and doors, why
not get ahead of this one! That is, when you park at the trailhead, leave the
car windows down. Then get out and cover the open windows with cheap vinyl
sheeting and tape it (at least) to the the roof area above the window.

Now, when the bear goes "dumpster diving" in your absence, to get that one
hidden Burger King fry under the front seat that you missed, it won't be a
disaster. It will get it, but your seats, worst case, will only be a little
damp from the morning dew and/or light rains that happened in your absence.

Logical, no? Whatcha think?

Best, Todd in Tarzana.
