[pct-l] Gulls and Crows

 The canister in it's present form will be outwittted by yogi ,just as all 
the other " Bear Proof" wiggits have. Along my railroad tracks, I see many 
crow and gulls fly clams from Puget Sound  high into the air and drop them on 
my rails. You would think a clam would be safe. Bears are at least as smart 
and as soon as one learn to smack in against a rock a few times , the gig is 
up. I know of very few thru-hikers that ever packed a canister. I fact, I 
can't think of any. Could it be that the NPS has just duked us into another 
tax through this new ' Canister fine"??? I am sure there will be many " 
Zombies" who will carry whatever, pay whatever and do whatever the next 
regime of the NPS come up with.              I will be going on my Annual Mt. 
Adams climb the 25th and 26th of this month. Plan to camp at Cascade Locks 
Friday the 24th  at the Marine Park PCT campsite. I will be sure to pay my 
15.00 for to climb the peak. I know the money will be put to good use!!!! I 
just love to see my tax dollars at work driving up the last three miles to 
cold springs campground. ( So how much IS that Swamp land for sale??)
