Ummm, 'scuse me, but I imagine you're referring to the recent flurry of
messages about bear canisters, _equipment_ that is legally required while
_hiking_ portions of the _PCT_. The thread has included messages about
manufacturers, sizes, weights, locations of regulated areas, alternatives to
bear canisters, and personal experiences with bears.

All that has a lot more to do with the PCT, hiking, or equipment than your
message, and although I'm tempted to reply in kind to your "keep it to
yourself" message, this busy body wouldn't want to tell you what you should
do.

On your last point, we agree: go take a hike. I'm ready!

Does anybody on this list talk about the PCT,  hiking, equipment or is this
just a site with a bunch of nosey busy bodies that sit around gossiping
about what others should do. If all you have to say is what the law is keep
it to yourself. And while your at it go take a hike. For everybody else
