[pct-l] zorra's pack problem

My husband, Charles Manson, is too skinny for most hip belts. He had a
Kelty Morraine that he modified: Take an ensolte pad and place in the
small of the back to take up some of the space in the hip belt region.
He cut the pad down to slip a tongue in a groove in the pack padding.
He folded it over a few times and held it in place with Velcro. The
foam pad can double as a sit pad. He found a EMS 3000TL that fits
better.
As for finding an inexpensive pack, don't forget to check with
retailers to see if they have any returned items they will sell you. I
used to handle returns for an outdoor store. They get back all kinds
of things. Some of the best deals are on these items.
