 This pack was very popular last year and is now on sale at REI for 144.00. 
It is a sub-4lbs pack and is being replaced by a 4,200ci model. Of course 
homemade and custom made packs can be tweeted to a persons's wants and needs 
and are fun to make. ( If you can sew!) Only down fall of ultra light packs ( 
like a golight) is that the 2 plus gallons of water needed to be packed early 
on the trail is a bit much for some of these light weighs. Last year, I saw a 
gal come up with a good compromise though. She had a golight attached to a 
Jansport pack frame which she used to carry the extra water though the 
desert. Then after the big water hauling was done, she mailed the pack frame 
home and made do with just the golight.
