[pct-l] weight loss

HI Tim: I lost 40 pounds hiking the CDT in '99 and I was't planning on
putting it all back on but after I finished the trail in Waterton I stopped
at every dinner, bakery, ice cream parlor and hot dog stand between Montana
and Michigan. When I got home I was aware of my cravings and finally settle
down a bit. But after year I was back up to 185 lbs. and leveled off. I
have read articles on LD hiking and weight loss. I think I lost more than
most but it sounds pretty normal for males. I lost most of mine in New
Mexico. I had little appetite in the beginning but as the trip progressed I
gained my appetite back. I heard one lady remark to her husband in Chama,
N.M. that she thought I was a cancer victim. When I heard that I knew I
must look pretty bad. I looked bad, and I smelled bad, but I felt good!
